Tenure Track Assistant/Associate Professor Positions in Bone Biology and Regenerative Medicine

Department of Periodontics and Oral Medicine

Nominations and applications are sought for two full time tenure-track faculty positions at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. Applicants should have a PhD or D.D.S./PhD (or equivalent degrees) and an outstanding record of accomplishment in the areas of bone biology and/or musculoskeletal regeneration including tissue engineering and regenerative medicine.  The successful candidate will be expected to establish an outstanding, independent research program supported by external peer-reviewed funding and contribute to the teaching mission of the school.
The Department of Periodontics and Oral Medicine offers an outstanding work environment and enjoys a strong tradition of collaborative research with several schools and colleges at the University of Michigan.  The department has strong research programs in bone cell biology, skeletal development and regeneration, periodontal regeneration, cancer biology and therapeutics and clinical periodontics, as well as outstanding university-wide facilities and resources available to support our faculty members.  The successful candidate will have the opportunity to actively participate in well-established PhD programs in Oral Health Sciences and the Program in Biomedical Sciences, which includes 14 doctoral programs. In addition, opportunities are available for participation in the recently established Michigan-Pittsburgh-Wyss Resource Center: Supporting Regenerative Medicine in Dental, Oral and Craniofacial Technologies, the Michigan Center for Musculoskeletal Health and the Biointerfaces Institute (See website: ).
